The Sun Goes Down on My Summer
ON Labor Day I felt the final cuts of the knife on the threads of my freedom, severing it from me and carrying it away for 9 months. Before it faded away, I immersed myself in it, riding my bike, talking to strangers, wading in the river, and taking photos.
Now I am teaching again, which I do enjoy - it's just the stress of deadlines that make these chain imprints on my forehead.
