Paradox Flower
The color of the coneflower center is gloriously attractive, but all the spikes on the coneflower would seem to be designed to make things difficult for the pollinator; kind of like a beautiful woman who gives would-be suitors dark looks and the cold shoulder. But the bees and other insects are in love with these blooms and will not be deterred. The reward must be worth the effort.
As in life, the highest goals are attained only be the most dilligent and determined pursuers.
