Frosted Cherry Blossom
Whoops! Spoke too soon. No actual hit-the-ground-and-stay-there snow, but a few flakes were spotted on May 3, and that night heavy frost took our the redbud trees right before they were about to blossom. The welfare of the lilacs remains to be seen, but last year a frost like this killed them before they could blossom. It is too sad to be bereft of lilacs two years in a row!
